RockSolid allows for up to 7 days to recoat when using their own product. They have a clear coat that you could use. As far as different brand products are concerned, we recommend that you let the coating cure first and then degloss it by roughing up the surface well with 120 grit sandpaper in order to achieve a mechanical bond.
Many polyurethane and polyurea clear coats work well with standard epoxy when recoating within the correct window of time. RockSolid, however, is a proprietary formulation of epoxy, polyurea, and polyurethane. No one that we know of has tested if anything other than RockSolid's own product will chemically adhere well or not.
