After recently selling our property and my dream barn, we purchased a house with no barn[emoji33]! I figured it was easier and cheaper to build another barn vs the prices we were getting to build a house. So fast forward a year, house updates and remodel are done...over budget and it took longer then anticipated - all of that means my barn budget has shrunk.
So my plans are to build a T shaped barn that has a nice colonial look, the exterior look is important so everything flows with the house and property. We have a colonial Williamsburg style home and property. My layout is a 32X56 with a 36x40 (24’+12’ lean to) T’d into it, 14’ tall on the 32’ side and 12’ tall on the 36’ - both will be a 12/12 with attic trusses. It looks like this is going to be a pole construction based on budget.
Stay tuned!
