Hello all,

I recently was given from a cousin this old Columbia vise, i am really impressed by how wide the jaws go. My good friend is getting his first house and garage, and always admired my Wilton. I was hoping to clean this one up a bit more and throw on a lick of paint for a garage warming gift lol...Question though anyone have a swivel base i might be able to pick up cheap off a roached one? I'm pretty sure the original color is red also correct?

Most of the machinist vises open pretty wide. I've had a few of those but none had any paint left. I think the current new ones are gray...

AFAIK that vise is not designed to fit on a swivel base. Or does to have the grooves on the bottom and a center hole? Looks like a beast compared to mine.
