Anyone using a commercial soap dispenser. I'm currently using a soap with pumice in it but the pump on the container is not very good.

I'm trying to find one with a heavy duty pump.

I just put a Kresto dispenser in my garage, works great. I was leery of the plastic one, since all the ones at work are aluminum, but I think you could drive over it and not hurt it.:spit:

The picture *****, but you get the idea.

Kresto puts gojo to shame.

The problem with the dispenser, is there are so many proprietary ones, that you have to go back to who you bought it from, for the stuff.

I have at home a Cintas one, from a friend who works there. He wanted my opinion on some stuff he has, that uses shells in the soap, instead of pumice. It works pretty good, but I tend to mix it with the gojo, just due to the smell.

I don't really see that as a problem. *shrug* I write on the bottle the website and part number I got it from. It takes 2 minutes to get another bottle. How long does it take to get it at the store? For that matter, there are 100's of websites that sell the stuff.

Also, I don't want any other kind, so it's just not an issue for me.

We also use the Zep one at work. It holds one gallon jugs. With Zep, all of their hand cleaners will work on the pump as long as they come in a gallon jug. That way you can switch types for a little variety if you get tired of cherry Bomb.

I think I'm going to get one of those ZEP MODEL D-4000 PLUS DISPENSER. They seem to be pretty heavy duty.

I do have a couple of gallons of Fast Orange which I'm satisfied with but I'm fairly sure the containers will not fit in the dispenser.

What other brands which are available at local stores like lowes and home depot might fit in the Zep?

I want to order the Zep dispenser but I'm having trouble finding anywhere that will sell just one gallon of the soap. I want to fill it when I'm out with what I can buy locally.

Anyone know a source where I can buy only one gallon?

snap-on sells the same dispenser as the Zep and it is great, I just keep the bottles from the few gallons of snap-on cleaner and refill them from what ever bottles I buy at the time.

JUST A LITTLE THREAD BUMP:

we've got a lot of guys using our soap dispensers. A lot of them are pretty thrashed, at about 30 years old, and the ones that were replaced in the meantime, were cheap plastic ones (the steel ones are probably way better and who knows if they're built like they used to be -- though the one problem I've found is the seals go and you have to make a new one -- and I don't have time to **** around with that).

Using the pink economy industrial liquid soap that we get. But without the dispenser, you waste a lot and it ads up in a shop.

Anyone making a good, industrial one (made in USA or Europe?) Something like this in photo: any recommendations?

PS. Looks like Bobrick might make one in the USA.

I'd love to find a universal soap dispenser that you refill a reservoir with soap from any manufacturer (liquid or gel) and it would pump it out without leaking. The one in your image looks like it's for liquids vs heavy bodied soap like Kresto or TKO.

Every soap dispenser I've seen seems to be made for their own brand containers.

I've tried to refill GoJo dispensers with Kresto and the result is a slow leak since Kresto is lower viscosity.

Another vote for Kresto. I paint so I use a different STOKO product called CUPRAN SPECIAL that removes urethane paints like a champ. For hand cleaners the Germans got it down pat due to their exceeding strict workplace and environmental standards.

The larger soap dispensers from the Deb group of companies, the 2 and 4 liter versions, the bottles of soap have the pump built into them. So you never have to worry about the pump dieing on you since you get a new pump with each bottle. My dad used to be the general manager of their soap dispenser division, and I worked in the mould shop that built their moulds. I've seen way too many of those soap dispensers to count.

Yes, I think that's right.

Yep, that's how they get you. Same (sometimes) with paper towels.

yeah it becomes a real mess.

Thanks -- I checked online. Any particular types? Most of what I'm seeing looks like stuff that's more light duty. But I like the idea (if the cost isn't too prohibitive).

I like their "great white" hand cleaner. Solvent free so it doesn't dry out your skin as bad.
