Waiting for warmer weather to finish my epoxy flooring. I'm wanting to frame the inside of my 30x40x12 red iron shop with wood framing. Some of my reading of other's posts seems to suggest not attaching the studs to the girts, but instead standing off from the shop wall to prevent flexing and moving with the shop. Also allows me to put more insulation between the wood and metal building. If that be the case would I need to use some kind of composite boards to use as a bottom sill plate. I probably will be using a hose to clean off the epoxy floor (once it is completed). I thought about putting regular studs on some type of aluminum angle, but read it would oxidize pretty fast sitting between the concrete floor and the wood. Don't know if PT wood is the answer or not. Open for suggestions. Any help appreciated.
