Compressor air filter system mounted

Below are photos of my new air filter system. The three filters and the regulator weigh over 20 lbs. so I had to figure a way to mount them. The filters have a bracket on them that mounts to the wall. Problem is they are not against a wall the way I needed to mount them.

I made a bracket that bolts into a 2x4, the bracket is made of 16 gauge steel tube, 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". Now they have plenty of support.

Oh, man. Be careful rounding that corner. Too late now, but could you mount them up high? Like above the garage doors? I know it would be a pain to change the dessicant, etc., but it would get it out of the way...

I can already hear some choice names that regulator will be called in the future!

Also can hear lots of hissing really soon from the regulator area too.

Definitely an interesting place to mount them, although it makes for a nice, easy place to change the filters. You could probably come up with some type of guard for at least the regulator, but I really don't see where it's in the way of any traffic... at least not from the pics.

That's the same place I had the other filter system mounted for the last 5 years with no problem. There is no traffic over there or any other access problems that I've had.

It's convenient having the hose reel under the filters. I also have a electric power reel right there too.

Add about 30 more feet of copper and mount them on the outside wall or where you want them. You know what you should do! SO? ...Oh yea, nice bracket...russ

Under the cover is a 1997 Speed Yellow 993 C2S the last of the air-cooled 911 Porsches with 14K miles on it.

Nice choice. We had an Iris Blue 95 993 C2 back when it came out. Great car. Then got into the Turbo's and haven't left. Looking for a nice 996 GT3 soon. You'll love them.
