Only suggestion I have is before you spending $$ try your local compressor dealer, Creigs list, or an electric motor repair for any used motors.

IMO the 3# converter are too much.

Yeah, do you have any electric motor shops in your town? They're usually in an industrialized zone over by the industrial supply stores.

Haven't had any luck on craigslist or the local places I know of, but I'll try making some more calls.

I bought that exact motor from that exact dealer on ebay. I haven't used it yet, so I can't speak to that, but Baldor has never let me down, and they shipped it fast and packaged it very well. I would highly recommend buying from them.

They don't seem so big until you start trying to mount them. :wtf:
