So we're out on a farm and have wanted to put all our overhead wire, underground. Power company is planning on redoing the main line out on the road and one of there guys said now is the time to do it because they'll move the transformer and clear all their lines at no charge to me. He suggested bringing the secondary from the transformer to a splitter box, and from there split of to the house, the shop and then the rest of the yard.
Now looking at the materials, I'm wondering how it works with concentric neatral running into the metal box, being that there's no insulation on it. Do you just make sure it's not contacting the box as it goes to the lugs, or does it need to be insulated somehow?
