Concrete costs

Sort of pricing out an extension to my building. Slab Would be 30x30, heated. And another 30x30 apron

Quote i got so far (only person that even called back in 3 weeks, probably 15+ others) is for $16k for inside slab not including foam or pex install. And that's with me doing dirt work as well.
They put up foams, rebar, pour and finish, that's it.

I was expecting around 7k area. Materials being around 4k ish.

That seem reasonable or crazy?

Outside slab would be "less than that" was all I could get out of them.
Not sure why, as it's just asmuch work.

I just paid $25,9xx for a 30x50 slab with about 4 loads of dirt to help level and a catch basin and drain tube under to help with water flow. Concrete here is $170/yard

pretty sure my buddy charges in the $10 psf range for forming and pouring 6" . dirt work is extra

My 30x44 cost me $9500, that was a buddy deal. He told me for anyone else, he would have charged $15k
I paid for and installed the vapor barrier, 2'' foam and pex and I did the final grading.

nope local guy did it. my frost wall cost about $9k. im not real happy with the slab, he didnt relief cut it and told me it wouldnt crack but it did

Only someone who lives in your part of Alaska would really know what concrete costs up there. Alaska prices are generally going to be more than the lower 48.

$135 a yard

In 2018 my 40x60 cost $9/ft2 including forming, J bolts and the trench drain. Some guy in Trapper Creek paid the same rate at the same time. Pre-plandemic costs are what? 70% of current cost?

Concrete, pump truck, finishers, sawcut, sealer, forms and form trenching, yes.
I provided a flat and well compacted 80’x80’ gravel pad, the conduit and drain pipes already buried, and a laminated scale drawing showing the sawcuts and thickened spots for the hoist.
I’m extremely happy with the slab. The people who did it are three separate local masonry companies who are all related and gang up for big jobs.

Just got a quote here in central NY on 10,500 sq. ft.; finish grade, foam board, mesh, pex, for $8.50 SF.

This is going to be totally dependent on your region of course, but just for another datapoint, I just paid $30k for a turn-key 44x50 structural slab, with additional 660ft of flatwork. #3 rebar on 15" centers, with #4 rebar in the footers, and 4 cross (internal) footers. Included dirt work and all materials with 3500psi mix. About $10.50 per foot averaged across the whole thing.

My area was about 10" out of flat for reference, corner to corner.

Talking to my buddy who quotes pole buildings for a lumber yard here in MI last weekend.

They use $9.75/sqft as a budget number.

All slabs crack. The relief cuts just control the length of the cracks. Imo they don't do much. My two shops don't have them.
