Concrete Driveway Coating?

I'm in the process of power washing my concrete driveway. It's about eight years old and the color has become very uneven and blotchy in places. I'd like to even it out.

In the past I've used Behr #880 concrete primer followed by Behr #800 solid color concrete stain (grey) on concrete porches and sidewalks and have had good luck with it. However, I've never used it on a driveway. I'm leaning toward using this on the drive but thought I'd post here and see if anyone has any personal experience with it on driveways or has other suggestions.

I'm not looking to change the color, I want it to look like concrete but need to just even out the color. Are there other options out there for doing this that might hold up better?

Suggestions/feedback appreciated.

I'm in the same phase of my research as you mmhouse. I'm looking for more of a decorative/colored look. I'm leaning towards an acid stain. Although the water based stains look promising I don't know how well they hold to hot rubber.

The stain Behr makes is really a coating. Some folks have posted some nice photos of the results. However, this was right after they finished and we didn't see long term results.

We have a true concrete acid stain that can be used indoors/outdoors. It's easy to apply.

Good luck.

A coating may not be the best application for a DIY'er on a driveway.
An acid stain is hard to mess up because it's so 'random'.
Depending on how it's applied, it may also appear 'blotchy'. But that's sometimes the effect that people want.
Check Youtube, for Concrete Acid Stains, & see what the results are maybe?
Check to make sure the current concrete is not sealed before ya start anything. (Water-test.)
