Conduit questions - detached garage

Folks -

I am building a detached garage in Houston (which is under the current NEC). It will be 12 ft from the house.

I am running sewer, water and gas to the new building. I plan to run 3 #2 copper and 1 #6 for the subpanel feeder. I will pull all the wire myself and then have an electrician wire the panels at each end.

I plan to run 2x coax for the satellite and 4 CAT 5 cables for alarm, telephone, and ? in the future. I will also run 2x 12/2 Romex for a light switch inside the house.

Questions:

1. What conduit size should I use for the feeder, the data stuff, and the Romex.

2. How far apart do the electrical lines have to be from the gas/sewer/water if they all run in parallel. If they cross over each other, how much clearance is required?

3. How far apart should the data lines be from the electrical to avoid any potential interference?

4. Do I need to sleeve the conduit throught the slab?

Thanks,

Will

run 2in pvc for the feed and a 1in for every separate sub system. i have never seen any hard numbers on separation from other lines but i would say at least 2 feet. as far as separation from the feed for the data, i wouldn't worry much about that. cat 5 is noise cancelling by design and catv isn't really bothered by feeds unless they run paralell for a couple of hundred feet. do yourself a favor and throw a couple of spare 1in conduits in in case of breakage or future use.
