Connecticut electric panel?

I was just checking my folks' house for any recalled sqd panels and found one that I had never noticed before. It isn't very old...I think less than 10 years.

Connecticut Electric.

Is this just a rebrand? All I can easily find on them is that they make replacement breakers for **** like FP.

I've seen Connecticut Electric generator transfer panels

Copperline® was a trademark of now defunct General Switch, but never have seen Connecticut Electric panels.

only Connecticut electric stuff ive seen are classified replacement breakers for such panels as zinsco and FPE

Nice...stumped two of the big shots...probably not great news.

Besides this, I found several branch circuits with 30a breakers that are being used for regular receptacles in the house and a sub that has at least 4 brands of breakers in it. Yay

I've never heard of the panels either, just the classified breakers, which I get fairly often for Pushmatic. That panel may have been installed less than 10 years ago, but that sticker on the cover reminds me of panels from the 70's. Maybe someone had it laying on a shelf somewhere and decided to use it to turn a profit, NOS style.

you didnt stump me. its just those panels were never used out here and ive never seen any pics of them online. mustve had a low production run and distro to limited areas

The panel label references Westinghouse and Crouse-Hinds so more like 30 years old.

Seeing the label, you can use any brand other then SQ D HOM, which is not allowed in any panel other then Square D Homeline, but of all the allowed brands, if I had to install one would be Siemens.

I knew of their replacement breakers for Wadsworth, Pushmatic, Challenger, etc., but actual loadcenters? That's a new on on me...

Do you think it would be beneficial to change all the panels in this case?

Not really, have a lot of options as to what breakers are allowed, pretty rare these days.
