Copper Tubing Question

I have quite a bit of lineset left over from a mini split install. Looking to run a water line for a refrigerator/ freezer ice maker.
Will the 1/4” line work with standard plumbing fittings?

no but you can buy the adapter you need to make it work

If it's 1/4" od tube it will work fine, we buy dozens of rolls of 1/4" refrigeration copper for doing humidifiers every year.

If you are running the water through a reverse osmosis filter first then don't use copper, there is something about that process that will make the water eat the metal line up over time.

It worked. Got a valve/T attached to existing sink supply stop. That had a push to fit for the 1/4 tube. Compression nut on fridge end finished it up.
BTW the valve I got was a John Guest made in England. Never heard of it. In honor of the royal wedding
