Knocked these out for our youngest daughter.
She always likes to play when she comes to our place, so we thought she would enjoy these for her birthday.

Those are beautiful

Your daughter will be spoiled after playing on those. I’ve never seen ones as nice.

What’s the material? 3/4 inch oak veneer plywood? Finished with gloss spar varnish? Gotta be at least 3 coats there.

Thanks shift,
Yes, oak ply and oak 1x's
That is the second coat of brushed on polyurethane.
I'll brush on one or two more coats.

Nice, although I thought u would make them out of steel with a lifting eye to move with a forklift!

He works with metal AND he works with wood, what's next? Nice job on the ******** boards. I've been wanting to make a pair of those too...

I'm impressed on the brushed finish, I thought it was sprayed!

I thought you might have a custom interpretation of the "length setter"...the stringline gage thingy that sets the proper distance :)

I was thinking the same thing!

Since all of Royce's other projects seem to be on a mega scale, I thought this would have been corn hole boards set up using a city block, manholes, and bean bag chairs. :lol_hitti

mine are pine 2x4 and birch ply and aren't light. bet those are heavy

These aren't too bad, with the 1"X framing.

I made a lightweight marine ply and fiberglass set, that nest together for travel.
They look nice, but don't play as well as a heavier set.
Too much bounce.

Thanks Matt,
We just pace it off, for distance,
At the house we have a couple marks on the deck.

Larry,
Not all the projects are large,
Here's a rocking chair made from 3/32" welding wire.

I think Larry might have been right, that looks like a manhole cover in the background behind the chair...:lol_hitti

They look nice but I like ones built out of cdx or similar and painted. Sanded and poly is too slippery even if it does look really good.
