Hi all,

I was hoping to get your opinions on Cornwell toolboxes. I was thinking of getting one I saw on Craigslist (60"x22" for 1000) and was looking for opinions on it as a deal. I looked around on past posts and most replies seemed to go along the lines of "no parts available due to supplier changes". I'm just picking this up for my home and so am less concerned with that I suppose. It seems like it should be very possible to pick up other aftermarket parts for repairs with a bit of work should that arise. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

Thanks!

I had the 42" version of that box about 15 years ago, it was built like a tank. I always wanted a 60" one like that. I believe those were the Kennedy made ones that parts are no longer made-stuff like drawer slides. For a grand I'd still jump on it for home use

It's a great deal at a $1000 especially with the hutch. I've had the bottom box in black for a number of years and it has served me well. It might be a Kennedy made unit but, The unit is only 22 inches deep whereas mine is 24 inches deep, the bottom right drawer looks more shallow and the drawer pulls a little narrow in the photo so, I can't be sure. I think it might be a newer Waterloo model but, that's only a guess from the photo. It's easily worth the asking price. As others have mentioned, if it is an older Kennedy made unit, no repair parts are available. Good luck,
