I went metal weld up 50X60 w/3-12 foot wide OH doors and 2 personnel doors, 12 foot side walls and a 4/12 pitch on the roof. Slab and building was $12.00 per square foot. Plumbing, electrical, spray foam insulation etc. was all additional. Metal prices in your area will affect the cost a little. Heres a photo. Joe

My 24x22 stick built was about $65/sqft...but that's in an expensive city.

Varies depending where you are in the state... if you're near the coast, i can tell you- if you have to ask, you can't afford it :(

I've been quoted $26 per sq. ft for a 24x24 (576 sq ft) block garage in Ohio. That's for a poured foundation with 36" deep footers and a 6" slab, concrete block walls, and no electrical.

I haven't yet gone through with the build and I haven't gotten other quotes. This first quote that also includes the contractor getting the permits and demo'ing the existing 1 car shack that sits there now. If I get the permit, demo the old garage, and perhaps build the block walls myself, I'm looking at something less. He quoted about $11 sq. ft. just to lay the foundation and slab.

Just to follow up, I got the foundation and slab poured for the 24x24 garage for about $12/square foot, which was the cheapest I could find without worrying about quality. Slab is 4" thick, reinforced mesh, with vapor barrier, and an approach apron to the alley (5 feet). This is just the concrete - not the rest.
