With the arrival of the new Pro Series in the stores the premium heavy duty boxes are closeout. The 52" which the lowest sale price was 999 is closeout for $779. The 41" was $679. These were the top and bottom combos. Side note. The new Pro Series boxes are really really nice. My initial impressions are these are the closest thing to truck quality available at a box store. A little pricey but the quality seems to warrant the price. The 41" was $1200 or so for the top and bottom. These things are also really tall.

I bought the 52" Premium HD a month ago online for $415. I removed the wheels and made a workbench from it.

They are still well priced. I think the prem HD 40 was 429, new HD soft close 369, new HD 359.

I just got the last old 40 HD in the store for 299 & am quite happy with it, especially versus the HF 40. It is taller than the newer ones.

I'm thinking about buying one of these (either size, unsure), making a frame for it with large tires, steering, and brakes. The put all the tools in it and put it in the trailer when we go to the track. Move it from shop to trailer, trailer to shop, and maybe free trailer to paddock at the track.

Are these boxes sturdy enough to take the stresses of going down the road in the trailer? I'd strap it to the side of the trailer when moving.

It appears the 52" Premium is still in stock and available at the regular retail price. The 40" is still available for $429 on sale.

I wonder why the 52" isn't priced with a sale price.

I was luck enough to find one of these boxes on clearance at a local store a few years ago. i paid 179 for it (it had no keys for the lock and was out of the box). They are very nice boxes.

That was a smokin' deal.I got mine for $279 off the floor due to a mismarked price tag. It was missing the keys as well, but Waterloo sent a new set at no cost in a few days. When I came back with my SUV to pick it up, the manager was pissed that his salesman sold it to me that cheap. You STOLE IT!

Where are the new boxes made now? Have they shifted overseas as far as sourcing goes?
