Everyone that has done one of these boxes agrees that the Rustoleum hammer grey works well for the color. Ive done a few boxes with this color and it looks good. But this morning while picking up some paint for my latest project, I noticed a new hammered color. Antique pewter. It's close to the grey, but a little different. If I'd had been smart, I would have grabbed a can to try. Could this be the correct color?
Has anyone tried this color? Here's a pic of the hammered grey over the original box color. Notice that the original color has more gold in it than the grey. Almost pewter.
