I'll just keep looking. I'm in no rush but at least now I learned important info on old American drill presses.

That powermatic I posted is a good deal, as long as the drive system doesn't have any issues.

Yeah I saw that but I just don't have time to go out to where that one is located. I found a duro benchtop which I'm going to go look at today. Looks a little edgy but the guy is pretty close to me and maybe I can get it pretty cheap.

Duro bench mounted drill press, 1/2 hp motor. Heavy Duty $100

I don't know how far a drive that Powermatic is for you, and I, myself, certainly understand the time and expense of long hauls. But in general, that vary speed PM drill press is the type of machine that can be worth the trip.

Just sayin'

This guy just emailed me saying he'll take $75. I can probably talk him down to $50-60.

Pretty sure that's a smaller unit, looks like a 10-12" instead of a 15". If you are only drilling small brackets, it should work fine but I think my max would be in the $50-60 range for that one. Also, being a bench model, you lose a lot of height but again, small brackets will do fine.

Damn Dude! I'm looking at the same drill presses you are! We both missed out on that Delta! LOL! And it was in my hometown.
