Anybody use this system? I'm changing up my system for working on-site and I've been looking over the Dewalt tstak, not to be confused with the tough-system, and it looks pretty good. I prefer not to give money to Dewalt but if it works, it works.

My primary use would be tools and supplies for 12 volt installation and low voltage cabling, so lots of crossover in tools but not identical. I carry a pretty full complement of power tools and also need a pretty good assortment of small parts, connectors etc.

It'd go in a Subaru hatchback, in and out of whatever building, house or shop I may be working in. If you've used this system, how's the quality? Will the trolley hold up, climb stairs? Do the small parts organizers actually keep things separated? Okay in a light rain for a few minutes? Overall thoughts? Viable alternatives?

One of my techs bought some of them to use. He does a lot of work at home and not only got tired of boxing up what he needs every night but also of making so many trips back to his box when working outside, since he's not as familiar with what he needs for a task in this environment. He's a former auto tech.

Anyway, he regrets buying them. The cart is very pricy, drawers stick and bind all the time, latches don't latch so tip and spill often. Aside from the spill thing he does use some of the organization cups, which seem to hold the stuff whenever I happen to see in. rai is no major issue according to him when he had to pull in quick as a downpour started. Bear in mind the cart only holds the boxes...you can't open any below the topmost on the cart.
I think he's leaning towards a simple HF rolling stock cart like I use, but he's already into those Dewalt boxes about $300 .
I'd saw save your money.

That's great info thanks. I wondered about the drawers. They open nice in the store, but it looked like they might bind with weight in and on them.
