Shop build should start soon. Wish I had found this section sooner to get advice on what to buy...but I didn't. Anyway, shop will be hopefully going up soon. For one area of the shop that will be 30' X 32", I have already purchased the lighting. Lights will not be hard wired. I will have duplex receptacles in the ceiling to plug the lights in to. Ceilings are 12 feet. I have six Hyperikon LED High Bay Lights - 165W / 21,400 Lumen (Link below) to light up this 30 X 32 X 12 room.

Good enough or should I plan on adding more?

That would be cool. I probably should have done that before. Not a huge deal, really. I can always add more if needed.

9 13,500 lumen fixtures is ideal.

6 21,400 lumen fixtures = uneven light distribution due to too much output for mounting height and fixture center to center spacing over 11.9'

Recommendation = Buy 3 more and put them all on a dimmer.

Thank you! I'll do that!

I’ll second the listen to that guy
I took his advice on the maxlite fixtures for my garage and they are great
At the time I got mine put up I remember him saying he was overwhelmed with other stuff to get me the spacing and amount of fixtures to use but my electrician did pretty good on that
Thanks Platonic Solid for the heads up
