Is it possible to show the picture that I uploaded at an other post?

Trying to put img tags around it, comes up as a link instead

I've discovered you cannot just grab that old pic from your archive of attachments and re attachment. That is because the list of valid file name extensions (bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip) for attachments doesn't include the extension that comes up when you go to your Control panel and select attachments and then click on one of them, as I did with this..........................

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=13389&d=1192502669

Then attempt to plug this filename into an image tag. The file name link appears and not the image itself.

It would be nice if the attachment box would allow you to browse your own control panel attachments list and select from it, but it doesn't.

If you get a way of doing this, let us know.

this is the problem I am running into, I think on some other boards I am able to grab a picture from my "gallery" and show it on multiple posts.

I can certainly upload it again for the same purpose but I guess it is wasting some space.

That is my feeling, wasting space. If you use the manage attachments and plug in the URL of an existing attachment, which displays just fine in another browser window, and try to upload from a URL, it tells you it is an invalid file. Apparently the BBS changes it in some way and cannot reuse it. I end up re-uploading the file, which is time consuming to find it on my computer (if I can at all) and also not thrifty with the space.
