Do I need nolox?

Putting in a 30 amp circuit breaker into a subpanel I have in my basement. I understand that I will need to ground to the bar on the right instead of on the left since it is a subpanel.

Do I need nolox on this connection?

What you are calling nolox is actually spelled Noalox. Noalox is the Ideal brand name of anti-oxidant compound that is used on aluminum conductors. I forget who makes Contax and I've seen some other names.

Answering your question- Compound like this is only needed on aluminum conductors.
If your wires are aluminum - you need it. Unlikely on a 30A circuit..
If your wires are copper - you don't need it. Most likely.

Perfect. Thank you for the answer. My concern was the bar is aluminum. Wire is Copper. Wasn't sure if it was needed on the branch circuits, or just the main power coming to the bar?

The panel terminal bars are surely rated for CU/AL wire. (Copper or aluminum)
Even the main terminals are surely rated for CU/AL.

Meaning that copper wire just goes right in.
But aluminum wire (because it's aluminum wire, not because of the material the termination is made of) needs oxidation inhibitor.

This all depends on your panel. Left and right are meaningless, it's what the bars do and how they are mounted that matters.

Yeah, make sure you isolate the ground from the neutral.
