Does anyone here at GJ own (or know someone who does) a
6" 1/2 Horsepower bench grinder like this ?

I posted a few days ago abouts it's value and appreciate the replies.

I think it might be an early to mid 70s Miller's Falls. I know there were other labelings going on and I've searched over at Vintage Machinery with no luck.

If I can BORROW a right hand guard I can have it recast in aluminum (or maybe cast iron) for a very reasonable cost.

I found this generic catalog print ad but can't find where it originally came from. If any other models share the distinctive end characteristics and obvious guard shape, then certainly they should work.

Thanks in advance.

I found this on a a random Internet search and the owner is a member. It linked to the grinders of GJ but I wasn't able to find it (is there some magical way one finds a post or page # of links?)

If anyone recognizes the owner/tool, the fluted connections to the guards/ends look very similar, although this looks like a 1 hp model to me. Maybe the owner knows what brand/year his is and I can search from there for a correlation.

The MF link at OWWM indicated they were sold under many labels from a primary manufacturer (this name escapes me at the moment! ), so maybe the various models shared the same guards ?

As always, much appreciation.
