Got this cool little MAC ratchet with a handle I haven't seen before. Has single band of knurling and slightly flared bottom. Part number is MPR5. Can't find any info on this (same part number comes up with a different handle that has knurling all the way to end). Any help is appreciated, approx age, etc. Is this a sought after handle? Thanks!

That was a 45 tooth ratchets I believe that mac offered for a year or two 10 -15 years ago as a premium ratchet over their standard ones. It can still be had today from proto.

Thanks guys! I think it might be 52 tooth? At least that's what I get when I count the clicks for one revolution.

I posting it up on ebay with starting price of $0.99 and no reserve if anybody wants to bid on it! Search same user name with 1234 at end...

Thanks!

That's a BIG DAWG ratchet. Mac also offered it with a bimaterial comfort grip handle. My 2002 Mac catalog says it should have 53 teeth. In 2002 it was MAC's highest tooth count ratchet. They weren't that popular and were only available for a couple of years. PROTO also had a version. People either love em or hate them. I had a few in 1/4 and 3/8 drive but, ended up disposing of them. If I remember right, the selector switch kind of slid from one position to the other. It's been awhile.
