Does anyone know these tools???

Hi folks,

I just registered and would like very much if anyone could shed a light on 2 tools that I have for quite a while on my tool box and don't know how to properly use'em.

First is a set of japanese tools made of wood and a light metal alloy.

Second is a scissor like tool with a hard wire (maybe to heat in some manner), made in Denmark.

Any commentary will be more than well received!

Tim, thanks again for the tip. Papawswrench solved my doubt and now I know that I have a cheese slicer made in Denmark (http://www.designquest.biz/p/LOR-2TCHEESE/LORA+CHEESE+SCISSORS) and 2 vintage dough cutters from Japan! Have yourself a very nice new year!
