IDK, for me it was faster and easier to do it by hand once you know your angles and what you're trying to accomplish. Also I have no idea if it would work on carbide teeth or not... if so than maybe, but usually you need a dremel tool for that.

Sorry. I thought the picture was for clear it's a chain saw sharpener. Also assumed people who could answer would recognize it.

Gimmicky tools always seem to flourish in certain categories, and chainsaws are one of those genres.
I've found it best to try and learn how the folks (professionals) that use these tools daily do their chain sharpening. The ones that don't have an automated chain sharpener (it's expensive) use one of these:

once you get familiar with this, you can clamp a saw in a vice and have a blade touched up in under 5 minutes. The only downside is you need one for each size cutter.

Well there is pictures below the ad with a chainsaw chain. Pic was small and I missed that. Looks gimikee.
Having noticed that I'd say no, buy a file or frankly get a new chain. Mine cost $20 and it's a Milwaukee. Yeah, not a real chainsaw. LMAO

Why don't you just buy one and let the rest of us cowards know if it works?
If it can get a chain to where it throws ribbons--like my hand-sharpened ones do--then it works. If it takes more than five or six minutes to sharpen a 26" bar, it doesn't.
