Doorking 1812 Voltage Problem

Hello all, my Doorking 1812 return line to home voltage is 50% lower than from the 1812 board (pins 3 and 4), around 27-30 volts on both wires. The wire run is about 150 feet. The home was hit by Hurricane Helene. I am assuming there is salt water (ground was flooded with about 3 feet of water for 6 hours) in the conduit but all electronics were above water. I did receive a few calls over the POTS after the storm from the 1812 call button and all were staticky. Now there is nothing coming back to home. No dialtone. House phone works fine in bypass mode on the 1875, but no dialtone on Entry mode with the lower voltage. Does anyone have any ideas? And why would the voltage on 3 and 4 be perfect on the board to he house and then the voltage on the return (at the 1875) be about 1/2 that amount and not provide dialtone to house? I hope there is a doorking or two expert out there.

The way the gate control works is after any alarm system the POTs line is wired to go out to the gate controls and then back to all the phones in the house.

Testing the voltage on a phone wires will not help you much.

You said the home phones work in “bypass mode” is the bypass out in the gate control box or house?

I am guessing the bypass is in the home and the problem is the wires in the conduit are not rated for underground use and are full of water.

Hello Walta, thank you for your reply. The bypass switch (1875) is in the house. I am sure water is in the conduit. What are the chances of it drying out and working (unfortunately it is salt water).

It will never dry out. Conduit underground is considered a wet location. Just condensation over time can fill a conduit with water. Any bad joints in the line only contribute more.
