Hello and good afternoon I am trying to put a new Basic 12 electronic ballast in a light fixture in my garage and I wired it exactly the way the 15 year old one was and nothing, two blue wires to the two blue wires and two red to two red wires and yellows to yellows and nothing just like the diagram shows. Kinda scratching my head

There should be a diagram on the new ballast as to how it needs to be wired. The new one may have different hookup.

Make sure the wires are seated in the lampholders as well. Some lampholders require 2 wires. Some will be jumped across internally allowing only one electrical connection. That ballast diagram is a must have.

Is this a T12 to T8 electronic ballast conversion? If this is, it sounds like a 4-lamp ballast is being used........
