Anyone have one of these ? I was looking for an old snowblower to make a firewood carrier from the woodpile to the deck... this popped up on CL and I picked it up for 300.00....seemed easier than building my own.

I won't be working it that hard, just replacing the hand firewood movers.

Anything to watch for ? All mechanical seems to be fine and even the battery start works. So far so good. I see the new ones have four wheels and DR has abandoned the three wheel set up.

From what I have found on line it has a centrifugal clutch with a four speed forward and a reverse gear.

I don`t have experience with the wagon but I have the big DR brush mower which has the same drive system I think. It seems plenty rugged all the way around & everyone says their customer support is excellent. Mine has the Kawasaki engine. Nice Wheelhorse BTW.

A Doctor/Customer of mine had one. Their house was on a sidehill. His Wife never complained about it so it must be Ok for its design. I always thought about building/getting one.

If the drive system holds up under a brushcutter I guess it should be fine for the cart.

I use my winter Wheel Horse to move the wood to the pile. The DR will be for getting it up on the deck.

Time to break out the summer Horse and put this one away.

One thing to be careful of is not allowing the motor to heat up and boil the water out of the oil. If you only use it a few minuets each use then the condensation will build up in the block and shorten the life of the engine. More frequent oil changes may be called for.
