Hello I recently purchased a Grizzly Drill Bit Sharpening Jig from amazon to get some use out of my dull bits. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000DD0D6 The instructions that came with this do not tell me anyway to set this up. Im sure many of the older shop guys on here could point me in the right direction. Thank You!

In the comments to the first review, there is a reference to an Instructables article. The link is http://www.instructables.com/id/Sharpen-Your-Drill-Bits/. The guy there references a Craftsman jig in the pictures, but it looks similar to the Grizzly.

I inherited a plastic blue jig for sharpening bits. I can't remember the markings on it, but I did manage to find a reference to how to use it on an old usenet text posting. Without pictures, there is no way I could follow it. When I get home tonight, I'll have to compare those instructions along with the Instructables and see if I can figure it out...

Do these types of jigs result in decent sharpening? What about sharpening TiN coated bits and cobalt bits (just got a set from OemPTA)?

I just bought the Craftsman version on eBay for $6.99 and waiting for it to come. I have the Drill Doctor Model 500 and a B&D 4300. I like the 4300 the best out of the two but they only sharpen bits to 1/2 inch and since the Craftsman says it will do bits to 3/4, i thought I would give it a try......
