Drop ceiling

I have an unheated garage with multiple ducts / plumbing enclosed in a drop ceiling. There is a bedroom / bathroom on top.

I was planning to have someone spray foam the 'real' garage ceiling above initially. The company gave me a second idea to spray foam all around the suspended ceiling (but not on the real ceiling which is 2 feet above the suspended).

Any advice is much appreciated.

You mean the walls around it? Are yiu doing it for insulation or sound deadening? Suspended ceiling tiles aren't meant to take weight. If the real ceiling is open joists why not put insulation bats between them with moisture barrier? If it's actually a finished ceiling up there is it not already insulated?

I am only doing to insulate the master bedroom / bathroom on top. I am attaching 2 pics. The garage will be totally unheated.

The higher part of the garage (real ceiling) will be spray foamed, no problem.

My confusion is about the suspended part. Should I spray the real ceiling of the suspended part (leaving all the the ductwork in the cold zone), or enclose the suspended part by spraying around?

If that lower part is the drop ceiling the easiest thing to do is probably get some bags of normal insulation Batts to put up there then seal it in and call it done.

I have no experience, but I can’t imagine you would want to spray the ductwork and the plumbing.
