I purchsed this little box end ratchet at a sale the other day. Markings are Dunlap, Made in USA, Pat. =APP, 1/4 by 5/16, stamped on both sides.

Any idea as to who made these, when, and other thoughts?

Thanks,
KCMAP

Dunlap thread

my guess would be made by Parker:

Parker / Parker Mfg. Co., Worcester, MA / est. 1901 / patent 2058107 Oct 20 1936 & RE20252 Jan 26 1937 Dwight E. Priest & 2574676 Nov 13 1951 & RE24465 Apr 29 1958 Glenn J. but that's just a wild guess.

Don't know who made it, but I can tell you that two rivet design is deliberately cheaper than the common four rivet design. Please forgive me if you already knew that.
