at the shop at work we have VCT tile. every winter at work we strip the floor of the wax and reapply 4 coats of wax. we rent a stripping machine and use commercial floor stripper. putty knife all the edges from excess wax. the current finish/wax we use is zep brand http://www.homedepot.com/p/ZEP-5-gal-High-Traffic-Floor-Polish-ZUHTFF5G/100619264. the floor looks great when we are done but after a few months the floor looks dull. any products or things that we can do to prolong the high shine? we do not have time in the middle of the year to give it a refresh or inbetween coat.

Some folks like the mop nd glo but it can build and dull as well. Look into some mannington brand products. They will be available at most floooring stores.

I did a VCT supermarket floor with Bond-tite epoxy followed by endura-shield urethane from Alpha garage.

It's been down for a year now and still looks very good, even after a Northern Ontario winter with lots of salt and sand tracked on it along with shopping carts, pallet jacks and lots of abuse.

It gets scrubbed daily with a power floor cleaner.

In the spring, I'll probably give it a good scrub and scuff with a black pad and another coat of endura-shield to refresh the gloss.

WE used to have a janitor company come in every two weeks to scrub and apply a coat of wax and every six months for a complete strip/seal/wax. The epoxy paid for itself in about 6 months.
