I asked why as I generally buy from eBay motors and the lady wouldn't give me an answer

If you want to see if it works for you add an ebay Motors item over $100 to your cart and try to apply it before checkout. Just don't complete the checkout.

It works for me. Probably the same as many of the other Ebay deals such as promo Ebay bucks, where they don't send it to everyone. Have to make sure you have promotional offers enabled or you won't get anything.

It's under Account Settings - Communication Preferences - Promotions and Surveys. You need to activate the notifications about promotions to receive them. If you don't have them active, you won't receive them, and even if you do sometimes they don't send them to everyone.

Just a warning if you do turn them on. Ebay likes to spam your inbox with at least an email daily if not more.

Thanks man! I just used this on the Sunex 3580 set I've had my eye on. Wound up getting it for $190.33 after the coupon code. After the rebate comes back it'll have cost only $90.33. Not bad at all!
