Educate me on Push Pin Pliers

Was just going to buy the HF set #67400 for $9.99 I believe. Then I made the the mistake of Googling them. 80*,45* or straight. Do I really need all three types? Is one type better or more common than the other? I just work on my own stuff and have been using a flat tip screwdriver and needle noses on them. But there is nothing better than buying the right tool for the job.

Not at all. I do a ton of trim during a work day, and I've gotten by just fine without any of them. I recently got the HF set, and I do use them and like them, but I couldn't possibly see any benefit to a DIYer to owning more than one pair.

This is GJ. Not only do you need all types but also a 2nd set of backups...

I have the 45's but wish I got the straights. I'm always having to flip the pliers over to get the preferred angle even though I don't need an angle.

I have both the straight and angled from VIM tools, and yes you need both.

Thank you all for your advise. In the end I just couldn't make myself buy just one type of plier. 10 years of logging into Garage Journal everyday has that effect. Thanks to Loscaldazar for his link to JB Tool Sales. Couldn't be happier. Ordered these on Wednesday night and at my door step today. Made in USA to boot
