So I want to do something different than just a concrete floor but its pretty low on my priority list and need something that will be around a day project because i dont really have anywhere to store all my stuff besides my driveway. I was thinking of painting the surface, but cant for the life of me find any pics or advice of anyone doing this, just a mention of the Hot Trax product. anyone paint their garage and have pics of how it turned out? I would do Epoxy but cant find one product that everyone is in agreement that it is fairly easy and didnt have any horror stories applying it. also cost is a bit on my mind as well.

Soooo, painting, easy? cheap? hold up for three years until i sell the house and can power wash it say every 6 months?

Like most surface adhesions, the condition of the concrete and the quality of the material matter most. On a new clean and properly done concrete floor paint might last 3 years, maybe.

If you want to keep it cheap, but must have something on your floor, a tile like porcelain or VCT is the way to go. Much cheaper than professional applications of epoxy, and still cheaper than a DIY kit, which likely wont hold up unless you do a LOT of prep work.

The most expensive thing you can do is put down a cheap coating! Figure the cost of the material, cost of your time to put it down. Cost of your time to grind it back up. Cost of new material and the cost to put down the new material.
