I'm looking for ideas on installing outlets in my pole barn. I would like to comply with NECS 2011 if possible.
What I would like to do is run a 20amp 120V and a 50amp 220v feed 24ft along the wall that the panel is on with the option of continuing the circuit at a later date around the rest of building.
The biggest hurdle I see is wiring around the 4x6 posts. Can I within code run Romex along the wall and go in back of those 4x6 posts when I run into them? Can I mount boxes to the cladding rail going around the building? What would be the best way to run wire up to lights?
p.s. What would be the largest light bulb the drop light on photo could take?
