Electronic torque meter?

has anybody used one of these?

I like it because it has inch lbs, and I need something with an in/.lb range of 90 -300, and most torque wrenches do not have this.

Any thoughts on quality, design, that sort of thing?

They say its accurate to 3%, which is better than click types @ 4%

Jim,

Snap-on makes their techwrench torque wrenches, which offer digital displays, and you can choose between units.,

If you are looking for one between 90-300 in lbs, i would reccomend the TECH2FR100 . I happen to have that one, it ranges from 60-1200 in lbs/5-100 ft lbs.

Snap-on's website is acting retarded, but i think i posted a picture in a thread a while back "Whats in your toolbox"

Thanks, as you know, Im broke (and gettin ready for either the welder or the drill press) so my snap on stuff is gunna have to be off of ebay lol. Are the dgital ones as accurate? That was another issue I was concerned about with that craftsman one.

after checkin out ebay, I pegges a bunch of the snap on 5-75 ft lb wrenches, 2 in particular come with thier reciept to show they are only like ayear old, so I figure they are probably still in calibration. I know about the 20% rule, but I need precision, not so much accuracy on the 8ft/90 in lb measurement. the 29 ft lb is the important one.

Im gunna have to look at that, I was just always skeptical of the digital ones.

Oh yes, htey are really accurate.

I just had mine calibrated, and its right on.

Set at 20 ft lbs, it was 19.90, -.5% off
Set at 60 ft lbs, it was 60.06 0.1% off
Set at 100 ft Lbs, it was 100.13 0.1% off


Not too bad if you ask me My digital one is the first snap-on item i ever purchased, and it was well worth the price.
