Anyone had any luck with this combination? I bought an ELM327 wireless OBD adapter from the 'bay to try with my iPhone 4S (wifi adapter, not Bluetooth, around $30 shipped).
It lights up when plugged into the OBD port, and I can see "CLKDevices" show up as a wireless network on the phone, but I can't seem to get anything to connect to it, nor does it seem the phone is connecting to it (never goes to the wireless symbol on the home page).
No instructions came with the adapter, but there's quite a few websites out there for setup. They all seem to suggest using static IP, an IP address of 192.168.0.123 and a Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0 (some say to change the last three digits of the IP address to .10 or .11 or something similar). I've tried these settings and don't seem to get anywhere.
I didn't have too high of expectations of the device, but wondering if anyone else has had luck with these before I chuck or return it.
