Engine is still in vehicle. Can hear it run till I start yanking in a few days. Now the history. It was a junkyard unit that came with a car I bought. I finished up the engine job and got it to run. Timing chain blew within 15 mins so I replaced it with a new set. Hour later engine bearings went south. So I took the pan down and put in new standard rods and mains. Ran fine for weeks till I started getting low oil pressure at lights, etc when hot. Engine runs fine, plenty of power, no smoke, etc. Compression is 140ish all 4 cylinders. But I had enough so Im installing a new engine. I suspect cam bearings is shot as well as possibly cam.
So Im selling it as a core or rebuildable. Might be a cheap fix for someone to get down the road. Its a 2.2 out of a 95 cavalier and will interchange up to 97ish in grand ams, sunbirds. etc.
Asking 100 cash to recoup the cost of the timing set and bearings. Can possibly deliver or for local p/u in Dunmore, Pa.
