Epoxy bubbles, anything to be done?

Hi,
The coat is set. I still have to do clear coat.

Should I attempt to fix these? They are tiny, but at the right angle easily visible. I don't want to do flakes, just don't want that look.

If you are outside the recoat time frame you will need to scuff the floor anyway to get mechanical adhesion on the clear, so you can sand the bubbles down as part of that process.

The above answer is correct. You will need to sand the entire surface to cut down the bubbles before you apply the clear. Out of curiosity, what type of epoxy did you use? Was an epoxy primer applied first?

This is where flakes pay off, even a very light distribution will play tricks on your eyes, hiding small imperfections.

Run a green pad over the floor and do some careful sanding on those raised areas. Wipe it clean with denatured alcohol then coat with clear.

Sometimes those bumps are hollow so don’t be surprised if you sand through them and end up with a crater.
