Epoxy floor is slippery when wet

We had someone put in an epoxy floor last year. Any time water gets on the floor, it is dangerously slippery. Everyone in my family has slipped and fallen, especially in the winter. We learned that he should have mixed sand or gravel in it to prevent this problem. Is there anything I can do to make it less slippery? Can we re-do the epoxy after a year? (This would be my last choice.) Is there anything I can apply on top of it?

sand it with a 6o grit sand paper. solvent (acetone, denatured alcohol or xylene) wipe the floor, the apply a polyurethane with shark grip from sherwin williams. DONE!

Here is a link to a urethane and our "Soft Skid" additive.
Follow Garage Guy's instruction, then apply. The additive can be broadcast or mixed in.
