Epoxy Garage Floor - Wolverine

Hello,

Recently, I got my "Final" Inspection completed...of my "Too Tall Garage" as some of you will re-call.

I would now like to coat my floor, and like what I see from Wolverine.

However, I would like to know what other forum members would suggest for the following:

No cars have sat in the garage as yet.

Have noticed 3 small "hair-line" cracks beginning to appear...each about 2 foot long.

I've noticed a lot of "cement dust" continues to make itself seen no matter how much I sweep to clean ...or vacuum it.

My plan is to Power Wash the floor this week...let sit 4 or 5 days and then begin to "Seal it."

What would your recommendations be?

Small cracks where the two sided are at the same grade often don't require any special attention, our self leveling epoxies will coat over and hide them. A quick way to check is to pour a small amount of water over the crack, if it doesn't seep into the crack, then the BondTite 1101 and LiquaTile 1184 will hide them. If the water seeps in, then you might want to fill them before coating. "Might" because the epoxies are a bit thicker than water, so although the water test may seep in, the epoxy still might fill the crack.

The use of flakes will further help mask most small cracks.

You can kiss cement dust goodbye after you coat the floor.

Even a new floor should be etched before you coat it. Etching will open pores which helps the BondTite primer adhere both chemically and physically.
