Epoxy over Paint?

I picked up a bunch of Thompson's epoxy floor kits at a local close-out store for cheap. Much more than I need to do my floor. I'd like to paint the bottom half of my wall with it to get a tough, stain-resistant covering where the dings and marks always seem to show. How well will epoxy stick over common gloss interior paint?

When we need to specify an impervious finish in commercial bathrooms or kitchens, we specify epoxy paint. I don't think you should have any problems if you prep the wall first. Sand it down some to get rid of the gloss sheen and then use a tack cloth or sim to remove all dust.

Yes, drywall, primed with Killz, painted with white gloss. Is that a problem?
