extremely short authentication timeout

Hey Admins,

I've noticed that my authenticated login on the board lasts a very, very short time, like the cookie expiration is set extremely low. I've had my session time out in as little as 20 minutes, which makes it really difficult to make long responses to complicated issues without having to re-login.

Was this short timeout chosen for a reason, or has this manifested accidentally?

Do you click the remember me box when you logon ? 90 % of the time this is the answer. Also clearing cookies on your computer may help.

THX for your hint, I'll try it immediately, as getting kicked out is a real nuisance

My "remember me" box is checked. Sometimes I'm logged out in as little as a minute. Or I'll be logged in on one page of a thread and logged out by the time I skim through to the next.

I think the problem is that whatever is supposed to handle cookies on the server side is overwhelmed by the sheer number of concurrent users, and it forgets users faster than it should. I could be wrong.

Just happened to me again. Loaded half the photos on a thread, but not the rest. Timed out.
