I didn't even know they existed. I use torx plus screwdrivers on occasion in certain European cutting tools. I think if you buy 10 sets you might have then for a while. but thats just my .02

I'm not sure and if you need them Frank will get them for you quickly.
Nissan uses a few for transmission and head bolts.

Try pulling the carb on a late model B&S engine without one.....

Not to mention some GM air bags and ignition swithes, bell housing bolts on some Jeeps and several more that escape me at the moment....

These are not bit sockets but Etorx sockets like a E16 female torx. As far as I'm aware Snap On makes a 3/8 drive 10EPL a EP18 GM seat socket and a 20EPL for Nissan flywhell bolts. The 10EPL fits a Nissan transmission bolt.
JTC makes Ribe sockets for Nissan which I think fits Female torx plus bolt heads. For Nissan head bolts, clutches and other uses.
I've never seen any made by Gear Wrench please post a link.
J Kent Moore also makes some including an EP8 for hybrids listed on Ebay.

I have found that I have needed to use female torx a lot more these days, to an extent that I had to buy a complete set of 1/2 and 1/4 sockets plus others,
a lot of european made machinery seem to use these fittings as well as more cars, I have found Fiat seatbelt bolts now use this cap,( on some models)
and they are more populer in europe than whitworth, sorry to say,

I have a Craftsman set that I got a while back.... I had to use them, and my two neighbors both borrowed them in the same weekend.

I had to replace a flywheel on a Saab 9-3 diesel. Almost every bolt was e-torx. I had a set of sockets already i now have a set of e torx wrenches as well. Opel/Vauxhall uses this type of bolts a lot also.

Everyone is commenting on female torx I'm asking about torx plus. Look at the picture of the bolt. The special socket Snap On makes is a 20EPL while Koken makes the same socket the special tool is made like a torx with widened ends. This is like a Kent Moore.

Look at the bolt picture I found a GM seat nut which is an 18EP a E18 wouldn't fit but a E20 would work. I have a 18EP snap which fits a Koken 18 EPL will also fit.
My first comment has a picture of a set of EPL sockets.

I'll be on the lookout for these, but I've never seen one, just regular ETorx all over my car. So, no, I wouldn't buy this. I would only buy them one at a time, if ever needed, and I would at least wait until needed, because they are so rare. I do have a bit set of male TorxPlus, and those seem to be a little more common, plus it is economical to have such a set "just in case."
