I am need of another wet/dry vacuum again. I have had it with Chinese junk vacs! Even my dad's Rigid is junk and coo is most likely China or the like. So, am thinking of the Fesdrool CT48 vs Dustless. Please help in this, pro's/con's ect. Also, missed you guys! Sence my wife left us, it's been difficult to say the least, but the Lord has the best plan!

I would keep in mind that the festool is a dust extractor. It was not designed to pick up construction debris, whereas the dustless was designed to pick them up and more.

It all depends on what you are looking for in the vacuum. If you are looking to attach the vacuum to a sander or other power tool, I would go with the festool. If you are looking at sucking water, and big chunks of stuff, I would go with the dustless.

A Shop-Vac brand vacuum is made in the USA of US and global components.

Mouse feces should first be sprayed with a bleach and water solution. Use a vacuum with a hepa filter to finish the cleanup job. This is to prevent hantavirus.

I've had both and then some....
The Ridgid has some ballz on it, is very loud, very value for the price/performance and a decent filter/bag will be pretty good.

The Festool I have I use mainly for woodworking ONLY. It's not really a shop vac....

However, I have a Fein I use for both. I pair it up with vac bag + Hepa Filter and it's the most efficient *vac* for remodeling. I generally sweep the big debris and use this setup to catch the dust as well as drywall sanding, etc. The bags are somewhat expensive, but it's worth it's weight when it comes down to minimizing dust .

For what it's worth, Festool makes 50mm hoses if you want a larger hose. But its real niche is dust, not big stuff. I've never really been one to pick up big stuff with a vac (I use brooms and dustpans to get the big stuff), so a Festool or other dust collector is great (no dust out the exhaust, high suction).

I would like to test drive the ct48 in the shop or mouse poo, lol as I am on oxygen 24/7. I am afraid of the dust in shop and my tools weren't safe for my condition. Somebody got my t-saw free, if I were to slip then it would cut my arm off in a hick-up! So the next to go is my floor standing drill press, I can't change speads because it has belts on top and I can't do it by myself so will get rid of it free too. I got rid of most my DeWalt cordles NiCd tools do to weight to my dad, he bought me Milwaukee NiMH which are lighter.
I read the ct48 has 137cfm, anything else close? I thought shop-vac was made or owned via China?
