the rods total 19" so i need a 20" bag but, i find most canvas or tools bags are 12". at last46 has the pipe vise bag but, it's $260 that's bit more than i wanna sing to house cheap vevor chinese pdr tools. i think duffel bags are BIGGER than 12" x 20". i bet 9" by 20" would probably work. though i might consider 12" x 20" if there any that small.

odd case scenario but, yall pretty damn smart so i thought i might ask here, worst case scenario there isn't an answer.

Look at Kleins offerings. They make 20” and 24” canvas bags. I have one. very heavy duty.

PDR guys I’ve seen often use cheap rifle cases. HF may even sell a rip off of a peli case that would suit.

Just curious how do you like the Vevor PDR tools?? Do you have a link for the one you bought? I'm just getting started in PDR and have been looking at buying some starter tools. Has for the bag. Have you ever considered making one? You could go to a fabric store like Hancock and get some canvas fabric. There are plenty of instructional videos on YouTube on how to make simple canvas bags.

You could get a cheap sewing machine and a roll of canvas and just make your own bags.

or used commercial like we used to have, i'm 30 projects too many atm.

looks like it won't be us or candian bag so rothco and bucket are in the lead, the bucket boss if the right shape and size but, the rothco is black and plain but, the exact same length of the rods. the bucket boss isn't a whole lot more and looks beefier. oh decisions decisions.

now would be good time to finish unboxing and inspecting but, having not used them yet i've learned one crucial factor. the vevors have tiny ball bearing ends and the good ones have cylindrical ends you can pop different sized balls on the end.

as opposed to HFs that came out sometime after i got the vevors

zoom in, they are little cylindrical ends. i may be able to make something that would jam on the ends of the vevors anyways, also HF is twice the cost without 50% off. i paid like $92 for the Vevors

edit: some of the vevor rods may have plain ends that could fit some plastic balls.. maybe i ought to posts picks on recent pick ups

A mason's bag would be my suggestion. Tough canvas with leather bottom portion ought to stand up to PDR tools without issue.
Nothing specific to the trade??

for any one curious, last night i tried to get some up close shots of the rods, i bet you probably cant see half the stuff that came in the other boxes and bag being an 80 something piece kit, https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/show-your-new-tool-arrivals.103272/post-11221662

What's the reason for the bag instead of a box?
It doesn't seem real user friendly to work out of and the tools on the bottom are more likely to get damaged.
Seems this is a popular storage method:
