Good-to-know, thanks!unless you are putting a screw 1/4" from the edge of plywood, it's not going to split.
Glad I asked, back to the hardware store! Thanks again!3/4" plywood? You need longer screws!
(sorry for the multi-messages, saw this after i posted)2.5 or 3's. And skip the deckmate garbage. Get grk's
I'd do 2.5's. General rule of thumb is to extend 2x material thickness into whatever you are fastening to.(sorry for the multi-messages, saw this after i posted)
3's? that long, potentially? And I love to blame the equipment any chance I get, why is deckmate garbage? (This could be the cause of some screws not tightening!)
Based on his post, I think he drilled pilot holes, probably too big for whatever screw is being used in soft wood. Regardless, I agree no pilot holes needed.

Would you believe this is record time for me?3 months later and the floor isn't done yet...
Stop overthinking everything
Yes...Would you believe this is record time for me?
Well I hope you do walls and a roof soon , otherwise the floor will be ruined in a short time.

Technically, no. But natural disasters still occur.is that exposed to the weather constantly?
If that's the case, then whether your bathroom is being remodeled or not doesn't matterTechnically, no. But natural disasters still occur.
Hahaha.I think the house is 10yrs in May.
In my defense I've had to square lots of things in that time....
(And re-do literally everything almost entirely solo)
